The Financial Literacy Network supports the Non-profit Heartland Institute of Financial Education to develop a national network of colleges and universities that promote financial education in the workplace.   The Heartland Consortium of Colleges & Universities is a member specific collaborative forum through which colleges and universities help support, develop and deliver effective quality worksite financial education courses.  The goal of the Consortium is three fold…

• Bring financial expertise and training on an education, non-solicitous basis to employees at their work location.    

• Provide knowledgeable, qualified instructors equipped with practical course material.

• Bring the course to the employees in order to provide convenience and insist that an accredited college or university sponsors every course offered. 

Now, as a result, employees who would never take the time to attend a financial education course are joining their fellow workers for class at the office or plant where they work.
